In a confluence of character design and social issues, this series intertwines art and life, tenderly embracing autistic children while highlighting environmental concerns and global warming. In collaboration with the National Palace Museum, this collection artfully merges classical and contemporary concepts, embodying the Hedgehog series symbolizing autistic children, the SU Zombie Alpha addressing food waste, and the Kakigoori Kuma with polar bear boss motif. Infusing the cherished artifacts of the National Palace Museum, such as jadeite cabbage and blue and white porcelain, it transforms them into contemporary elements. Employing PU resin and PVC enamel as principal materials, an array of intricate techniques captures the artifacts' colors and textures. The Hedgehog series, inspired by autistic children, combines the translucent quality of porcelain to depict a delicate and vulnerable inner beauty, symbolizing pure, transparent, and fragile souls. This series aims to awaken the public's gentle awareness, embracing those hedgehogs yearning to be free from judgmental gazes, tenderly caressing their spines and providing warmth and empathy. The SU Zombie Alpha and Kakigoori Kuma, focusing on environmental issues, blend artistic imagery with a lively modern style to explore food waste and global warming topics. These creations call for public action to reduce waste and minimize environmental pollution. Steeped in rich narrative and allegory, these pieces encourage both aesthetic reflection and cultural engagement. Conceived from the zeitgeist of embracing traditional culture and the thriving creative industry, these creations artfully weave reality and fantasy, infusing relics of Qing Dynasty porcelain into the fabric of modern, trendy toys. Despite facing considerable challenges such as constraints of materials, craftsmanship, and technical expertise, the team embarked on a continuous pursuit of design solutions to maintain their unwavering commitment to quality and creativity. Through relentless efforts and innovation, the fusion of past and present was masterfully achieved, underscoring the enduring value of classical art in our contemporary world.
