The 2025 Hsinchu City Halloween: Adorable Monsters’ Non-Stop Night centered around Kanahei’s small animals, featuring Pisuke and Usagi disguised as exclusive adorable monsters. Throughout the event, these cute monsters quietly took over Hsinchu City, both day and night. The city hall lobby, Happiness Plaza, and 228 Peace Memorial Park were transformed into enchanting Halloween adventure scenes that blended cuteness with magic. The themed areas included an adorable monsters’ Capsule Toy Machine Store, an Adorable Monsters’ Hide and Seek (for immersive experience), a Halloween parade, and an eccentric town fair. Visitors got to play capsule toy machines, complete daily missions, and interact with on-site equipment, culminating in a costume parade. This event attracted around 57,000 visitors, becoming a brand event distinctive of Hsinchu City. The city was designed as a large map for adventures. Participants could explore the streets by following hints from characters, transforming public spaces into safe and vibrant playgrounds during the event. The queue for playing capsule toy machines became a daily feature of the cityscape. These installations generated significant social media shares, and the market fairs increased the turnover in the business districts, bringing crowds and vitality to Hsinchu at night that are rarely seen. “The 2025 Hsinchu City Halloween” has been held for several years and has effectively promoted Halloween as a shared festival experience for all residents through an approach that is engaging, warm, and a cultural narrative. Additionally, it has successfully fostered interactions among cities, increased visibility for local brands, and enhanced the use of public spaces. The high marketing value generated by the event, and the enthusiastic participation by local and non-resident people, have set a positive example for public events.
